Policies and Procerdures at Insight Psychiatry
Guidance for Scheduling an Appointment
To schedule an appointment, submit a request online or email our office directly at awilson@insightpsychiatry.co. Phone calls left with voice messages will be returned within 48 hours (excluding weekends and holidays). However, communication is most efficient through email.
Policy for Ages Seen by Provider
Patients who are ages 13+ are able to be seen at Insight Psychiatry. Insight Psychiatry does not administer Testing for diagnosing ADHD or Autism in adolescence. However, ages 13+ can be referred to a neuropsychologist of their choosing for formal testing.
Policy for ADHD Medication
Insight Psychiatry does have stimulant prescription capability. Patients who are being prescribed stimulants for ADHD must be seen in person for an initial evaluation. An in office urine drug screen will be required prior to any prescriptions being sent initially. Follow up drug screens will be required every 3 months. Prescriptions will be sent on a month to month basis until patient has been established with Provider. After becoming established, appointments will be every 3 months. No refills will be sent without an appointment.
